A 5.4 magnitude earthquake shook southern California on Tuesday, spooking millions from Los Angeles to San Diego in a juddering reminder of the region's vulnerability to seismic shocks.

No major injuries or damage were reported following the quake, which struck at 11:42 a.m. near Chino Hills, 33 miles east of Los Angeles at a depth of 7.6 miles.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said the region had been lucky to avoid a major disaster.

Television images showed buildings swaying and cans and bottles tumbling from store shelves.

Editor’s note: 12th of May and 13th of Sept are only a few months apart; at least he got the year correct but the magnitude of the destruction has been scaled down. Or could it mean that there will be another more devastating earthquake in Sept in China? It is mentioned on a forum in Jan 2008 that although this huge 9.1 earthquake happens after the Olympics ends in August 2008, there will be a series of relatively ’smaller’ earthquakes occurring in China before this huge earthquake.

This suggests that the recent 7.9 mag Sichuan earthquake is only one of those ’smaller’ earthquakes which precede the mega 9.1 mag earthquake in Sept 2008. Scary thought isn’t it? Only time can tell…

Mr. Juseleeno Nobulega Da Roose is a Brazilian, born in 1960, 48 years of age and currently a vocational school teacher. He can accurately predict future events with unbelievable precision (including the year, month and day and has made attempts to systematically document his predictions everytime he wakes up from his ‘prophetic dreams’. If the prediction concerns an ordinary individual, he will simply write a letter to warn him or her. If the prediction concerns a large number of people (or an important individual) and can have serious repercussions such that it warrants serious attention, he will send letters to the concerned agencies, governments, etc.

Unfortunately, appropriate actions were not taken by the authorities. Predictions (especially those that arise from prophetic dreams) are almost always treated with a high level of suspicion and skepticism since they lie in the realm of pseudoscience. However, there is still so much that science cannot explain. See for example the double-slit paradox in quantum physics.

Mr Juseleeno made known his predictions in the hope that people will take heed of his warnings so that these disasters can be averted. (From the Buddhist point of view, awareness of such predictions can have a subconscious influence on the course of future events. Our physical environment is intimately connected to not only our actions but even to our thoughts). He hopes there will be a major change in mindsets of people in the time period leading up to 2008.

Both Juseleeno and John Croino (another well-known but elusive prophet) predicted major seismic activities and climatic changes in the years after 2007. John Croino mentioned:

“Then from mid-2007, the shock of events and disasters will increase month by month, worse storms, more violent seismic activity, bizarre and terrifying ominous events that seem to foretell of some great change brewing. Most people will not truly realise even a hint of bad it will become until late 2008. Every year from 2007 until 2014, will be increasingly nightmarish, with the peak period being 2012-2014. The sky will be dark in those places for long enough to truly frighten people and damage crop yields.”

Note that Juseleeno also predicted unusually dark and gloomy skies over large parts of the earth starting from 2012. The parallels between the two sets of prophecies are simply too overwhelming.

Many have seen this coming for a long time, since 2004 at least, but in 2008 the problems with the USA’s economy and the US Dollar reach the cliff. There will be many important high level meetings in governments around the world, but the most important will not be in Europe or the USA, but will be in China and Japan. Secret discussions behind closed doors, rumoured meetings with Russian government representatives.

Nations worldwide have turned hostile to the USA’s corruption and bullying. In March 2008, an important decision is made in the Japanese and Chinese governments. 2 weeks later there are discussions and secret meetings with finance corporations in Asia, as the Asian governments decide how to protect their economies. There will be a quietness in the markets, a combination of fear of the coming storm of chaos, and worries as to what the governments will decide. The employment situation will become depressing, new jobs failing to appear as companies worry about their likely need to lay-off staff in the next few months anyway.

Then in June-July 2008, the markets will seem to go crazy to with chaotic rises and falls, mad speculation and panic. For a short time, it might appear that the US Dollar will maintain it’s hegemony as the international currency of choice, but from August onward, the US Dollar’s real value drops steadily and rapidly, dragging down all currencies that are dependent on it. A new “Great Depression” will become obvious to even the most common of people in the industrialised nations.

By December 2008, it will be a very depressing time for most, with no real job stability, companies going bankrupt so often that almost no employment could be guaranteed in the private sector. The social disruption will be devastating, expect the worst.

Civil Unrest in Australia (2005?-2008)

The signs are already there that some kind of violent civilian unrest, almost on the level of an insurrection is very likely to occur. John Croino has foreseen car-bombs and bombings of buildings, fire-bombings, eventually armed conflict with police and security guards, soon increasing to a point where the Australian governments will be calling for the Army to be used.

The first of this civil unrest should start in 2005 with rioting in Sydney involving the Lebanese community, but he placed a question-mark on this year because the government will be trying extremely hard to avoid the conflict’s occurrence through trickery, propaganda, and lots of blatant lies…which are very unlikely to work.

From Christmas time in 2007, the civil unrest will become impossible to hide as it will suddenly grow. Brawls spilling out onto the streets becoming riots that the police will have to deal with in large numbers (20 cars or more). The unrest will continue to increase through 2008 to 2010.

Again, most likely involving the Lebanese community in Sydney as a trigger, though it’s not theirs to be blamed as they are merely expressing the tip if iceberg of the undercurrent of anger among men in the general public in Australia. It will eventually be much greater than rioting and involve almost every ethnic group in the eastern cities of Australia, particularly in Sydney’s poorer suburbs.

Gangs will take the violence to a much greater scale, the police will not be able to cope, and the army will have to be called in. In the long run, the unrest and it’s results will change the Australian national government, but it will be two decades before people see the most truly positive results of this.

Curiously enough, 2005 to 2007 are years of great wealth & power for Australia in all other ways – but the Rich versus Poor gap will be intolerable to far too many people. The Australian government should no longer be considered stable from this point onward for a dozen years.

If you live in Tokyo, move to the west and away from the sea. Avoid Mount Fuji. Fishermen will soon find summer fish during the winter in Tokyo bay.

The same advice is good if you live in the Southern hemisphere, but Australia will have other problems besides being angry at New Zealand for things that New Zealanders have no control over. The sky will be dark in those places for long enough to truly frighten people and damage crop yields.

It’s a pity that very few scientists realise how much the magnetic field changes of the Sun can affect volcanic activity on Earth. The Sun is like Earth’s mother, and Mother is going to be in a bad mood for a few very frightening years.

By next month starting work and beginning another interesting chapter of my life. I eventually had to say goodbye though. One of the best ways to spend a good long vacation is to live in another country. I really have good vacations in New York.

New York was great. I would highly recommend it and it is all strangely familiar from all the movies, i.e Die Hard 4.0 !

Today I got up and went for breakfast and headed out about 9.30 am and get the $7.50 unlimited ride pass for the subway which allowed me to go anywhere all day.

So, I headed down to Coney Island.

The cool thing is that you can travel with the subway to the beach of Coney Island.

It's like Brighton beach but with real sand.

That's really nice and people from Manhattan spend the weekends there to chill out.

The Foxwoods Resort Casino is the largest casino in the world and one of the busiest.

The casino is part of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which brought gambling to Connecticut.

It is located in southeastern Connecticut, near the Rhode Island border. Foxwoods has six casinos.

We came here Sunday morning around 11 and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. It's worth the wait to get in even there is thousand of people trying to get in the same time because of Father's Day.

Jade's shrimp-packed dumplings were excellent.

Top notch dim sum. The food here is prepared fresh and comes to you piping hot. All the staple dim sum dishes are excellent. The service here is surprisingly attentive and friendly.

The decor is modern and seating plentiful.

Got up early to catch the local tour bus at 8.30 am to get a ticket for myself. The ticket cost $15 and sold out fast.

The journey start at 9.30 am and reached the Atlantic City, New Jersey at about 12.15 pm.

Once we are there, we are given a coupon worth $25 for us to redeem cash at the cashier.

It is worthwhile travelling to Atlantic City and this is my second time travelling to Atlantic City. I enjoy it very much.

I definitely recommend going here if you are ever in New Jersey.
