Memorial Parks

Nirvana Multi Corporation Berhad has been operating for 17 years and today owns 7 cemeteries in Malaysia and Indonesia. It plans to open several more in Vietnam, Singapore, Korea and Taiwan.

Preferring to call them "memorial parks", the company conducts funeral services and arranges both cremations and burials.

For the last 5 years, it has consistently won the first prize in the non-Muslim religious structure category at national level landscaping competitions.

Its cemetery designs feature numerous theme; the Emperor Zone, for example, follows Chinese architecture, with open pavilions on boulders overlooking ponds and golden lions watching over the land.

Its 50-acre Christian burial ground in Semenyih, Kajang boasts manicured gardens, fountains and a 9ft statue of Jesus Christ on a hilltop overlooking everything.

It costs about RM12,900 for a single plot and RM25,000 for a double to bury loved ones here. The payment is made only once but maintenance is for a lifetime and free of charge.

Last year, Nirvana opened Malaysia's first cemetery for pets in Semenyih, Selangor. It is about 20,000 sq ft, exclusively for cats and dog with each plot costing RM4,800.
