My first impression was just as unexpected - tons of people crammed onto the sidewalks, tons of yellow taxis honking at each other on the streets and towering skyscrapers on every side.
I loved everything I did and saw. But I think I had a preconceived notion that NYC was full of thieves, gang members and beggars.
