I then walked over to the intersection of Wall and Broad where I was able to see the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange); one of the Trump Towers was also located here. The area was incredibly secure. There were these strange road barricades that had security.
The platforms would lower down for emergency vehicles to pass through, but otherwise there was no way to drive in this area anymore. There were also police officers everywhere, including some standing outside the NYSE with what looked like M-16s. I asked one of the cops what was going on and she said it's just been like this since 9/11.
